We've all heard it, Microsoft Vista is a complete and utter ripoff of Mac OSX. While browsing Youtube, i came across a funny video done by the New York Times that points out these similarities. My intent of this post is not to start a war between Mac and PC users, but it is to see your reactions to these claims made by people against Vista. Even if you are a Windows fan, i think that you will get a kick out of seeing this video; i think that it is a very well done short report.
Check it out!

Yes, I know. Everyone saw me responding to this post the second they realized it compared Macs to Windows. The only really big thing to comment on how Windows "rips off" Mac operating systems is the referral to how Windows was founded itself. Now, I can't verify the validity of this information as of yet, but I was told once that Windows was founded when Bill Gates broke away from the Mac model and formed his own based on the same basic coding. So in essence, the Windows corporation was founded on stealing ideas from Mac. So what if they aren't innovative? They made a better product than what they had before. The only ethical question is if Windows should abandon it's policy of getting its ideas from outside the company.
Although I am currently a Windows user, this is entirely because of the lack of accesibility to video games on Macs. All the evidence I have seen has shown Vista to be a lackluster copycat of the new Mac OS. Once Macs incorporate the option of also running windows, I will probobly make the switch myself.
Priceless. Windows is nothing more than a rip off of mac. When Apple was going bankrupt in the 80s bill gates bought a bunch of non voting stock ust to keep them a float so he could steal there ideas.
Leopord is going to single handedly blow away vista in the coming year when it comes out.
btw alex, you can run windows on all new intel based macs. time to to switch
Pogue has some great stuff. I'm waiting for bootcamp to become more compatible with Vista. There were some problems running Vista RC2 with bootcamp.
